I'm currently a postdoctoral associate in the Social Media Lab (SML) at Cornell University, with a primary focus on the intersection of HCI design and digital literacy for senior citizens. Collaborating with esteemed professors from various universities and under the guidance of Professor Natalie Bazarova, I lead a dedicated team of passionate and innovative undergraduates. Together, we discover effective strategies and designs that facilitate the development of an engaging gamified education platform. By working closely with the development team, we bring this platform to life with the goal of empowering older adults to safeguard themselves from scams.
Prior to joining Cornell, I earned a Ph.D. degree at the School of Computing and Information at the University of Pittsburgh. I studied under my advisor Professor Daqing He who leads the iRiS lab. I was part of a team of active researchers who each researched diverse areas, such as human-centered design, machine learning, and information access.
I am passionate about working on research that aims to understand user insights and behaviors, to improve users' experience in diverse domains by means of novel designs, and finally, to cogently support the corresponding users and research communities.
